New Year, New Giveaway!

I don’t really have a particular occasion for this giveaway except that I have a few things I’d stashed away specifically to give away and a new year seems like as good a time as any. We’re gonna call this the Friends of Presto giveaway! You can gain entries by following certain Instagram or facebook pages (details on that below) belonging to just a few of the companies that are near and dear to us (because if I did them all there we’d be here all day), or by leaving a blog comment. Trying to keep it simple.

The prize package is small but mighty… the winner will get a hand dyed purple ombre lead rope from KJ Creations, a 2018 Presto calendar, and a $10 Riding Warehouse gift card!

Entering is super easy, you can do as many or as few of these as you’d like:

  • follow Ponyforapony on Instagram
  • follow KJCreations on Instagram
  • follow Riding Warehouse on Instagram
  • follow Lund Saddlery on Instagram
  • check out Usandro Tilia Derlenn’s new facebook page (extra point if you “like” his page, and another extra point if you comment on a photo! for real, I spent a long time setting it up, humor me here…)
  • leave a comment on this blog post telling me at least one subject that you’d like to see me write about in 2018

I think a lot of you probably already follow most of those companies so it could be as simple as just logging the entries on the form. Go here to do that (if you don’t do this part, I can’t see them!) :

That’s it! The contest ends next Friday, so be sure to get those entries logged before then. Good luck!

  1. You have a tight community of horse bloggers. How do you feel about getting to know those of us who ride, but don’t blog about it? I don’t want to seem stalkerish…

  2. I’d like to hear more about what you plan to do with Presto over the next couple of years before he starts going under saddle and just hear your perspectives on young horse development from a tangible training perspective.

  3. I would love to read about confirmation and movement especially through your experience with the YEH series. I’ve learned a lot from reading your blogs and the links you post and I’m looking forward to many more posts in 2018!

  4. Ditto what LynnT says about meeting/interacting with other riders/readers who are non-bloggers. And, training tips/conditioning for the RIDER to be in shape to support their horse. Recommended exercises can we do out of the saddle to make us better balanced riders.

Thanks for the fun giveaway! Next time, can the prize be some frozen Usandro semen? Ha ha!

  5. I second the confirmation and movement! I may or may not get a “sport” bred horse, but I’d like to know more on what they look for in confirmation and movement that would help that horse perform. I always find those things so fascinating! Do they have live stream on those things….?

  6. Ditto posting the photo of the month from the calendar for the rest of us! How about proposing a Presto Warrior day on a weekend with lots of equine events nationwide- we can all wear our shirts to wherever we are going, and make non-blogger connections in our area. Also, do you have thoughts about new foal insurance? Is it even possible to get it so babies are covered from the moment they arrive? I’m guessing you did not have that for Presto, but after seeing what you went through, I’d be thinking about it if I ever bred a foal. What does Michelle do?
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  7. I think the only one I wasn’t following on Instagram was Lund, and that was because I didn’t know they had an Instagram (whoops). This package looks like it belongs to me, gimmie plz!

I am looking forward to your trials with raising your new eventing bred baby. How you approach his training and experiences and how he develops. That, to me, if going to be very exciting. Or entertaining.

  8. I’d love to hear about your maintenance for Henny- preventative vet care, special things you do after competitions, how you built his program, etc. You’ve talked about it regularly, but I want moar cause I’m greedy and want to steal ideas.

  10. Oh, Amanda, I just gobble up everything you talk about! I esp love all Henny & Presto pix & stories. Not being a “horse” person, it is all new to me. Who knew horses wore boots? Since you informed me about such, I have been a constant blog follower (yours is the first msg I open every day – even if this late in the day 😏). Would love the monthly picture just in case I don’t win the BIG prize, + all gestational, birthing, and neonatal info you can give us on Sadie’s little one. Loved Presto’s story and went up and down with every post. Oh, one more thing – maybe a book list for the non-horse folks to catch up a little with the rest of you. So proud of you and all you’ve accomplished,

  12. I love your loves and dislikes product reviews. Hasn’t it been awhile since you did one of those? I’m 50, it’s so much easier when you’ve done my research for me! 😂😂

  13. I’d like to see more about plans with Presto and the progress he’s going through. Also product reviews are awesome, but also horrible because then I want more things. What about having a guest blogger or two?

  14. As a non blogger I enjoy getting to know you and your crew. I found your blog while looking for products review (ps of Sweden) and have followed ever since. I get a little jolt of excitement when I realise that a new post is up. Love product reviews but they make me want new awesome things! I think more with Bobby would be great fun!

  16. Definitely don’t need any more reviews of stuff I’ll have to buy :p (Kidding of course). I’m hoping you’ll blog lots about Presto growing up and more exciting cross country adventures with Henry. Because I will never actually do that stuff, so I need to live vicariously through you!

  17. I, too, would love to hear about your plans for Presto’s one- and two-year-old training. How formal is it? Lots of hand-walking? Exposure to lots of different things/environments? Clicker/target training?
