T!ny H0use Tuesday: Update

I haven’t done too many updates on the house since I first moved in, mostly because there hasn’t been much to say. We ordered a sofa in November that JUST CAME a couple weeks ago, and I had kind of held off on putting together everything else in the living room or decorating the rest of the house. I wanted to see how the sofa looked first, since I’m terrible at envisioning how things will look in my head.

But now we have a sofa, AND a table, AND a rug, AND a TV, so like… things are getting pretty serious. We also finally put something up on the wall – two little shelves above the couch. We still have plenty left to do and more stuff to put on the walls, but I haven’t gotten that far yet. Still though, I haven’t done a walkthrough video tour since it was first delivered, so I figured I’d show y’all how it’s looking now that it’s got stuff in it and has been lived in for a while.

Honestly, I love it. Definitely a lifestyle change but having less space to keep clean or heat or cool or accumulate junk has been really nice.

  1. Thanks for the tour. The layout is great and seems very functional. The fully screened back deck is a total game changer. Is there anything you would do differently after having lived in the space?

  2. Have you both moved in or is it still just you for the moment? Curious what it’s like with two people navigating the space. And how often do you use the nook upstairs? I sometimes think about tiny homes but I worry it would be too claustrophobic for me to actually make use of the space and spend time there.

  3. This is absolutely THE nicest tiny home I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen quite a few on HGTV! The layout and your decorating have made it so, so functional and attractive. The porch and the loft make it seem so much bigger, too!

  4. I want one, and could easily live in one…. On the other hand, my hubby loves STUFF. He’s neat about it, but not TH neat. I really like yours!

  5. Love love love it! I don’t know if I could do it, I just spent the day packing most of my life into a 3H trailer to move (because we’re rednecks, why rent a trailer when you own one….). It’s about 76 square feet but Eve try thing is PACKED in! And there’s a few things I will take on my second trip with my horse.

I love your coffee table most: so multi-functional.

  6. Thank you for sharing. There were a few times where the camera was really swivelling around at 60 mph and I thought I was going to need dramamine, lol, but it is very nice and I applaud you for being able to adapt to a teeny tiny house. Having said that, I do not think it would be for me and my husband. I think I would feel claustrophobic but I definitely understand the less is more concept.
